How Can a Virtual Assistant Help Your Non-Profit?

Writer's picture: kristinarbrookskristinarbrooks

I love the not-for-profit world, I worked full-time with a local not-for-profit organization for almost four years before I decided to take myself online and become a virtual administrator and still work with not-for-profits to this day!

One thing I absolutely love about some non-profits? They are all about the people they help, not the "dollar." I intend to be a lot like that in my own business, being more focused on helping entrepreneurs and businesses while they grow in a people-centric way.

But, you may ask yourself, how can a virtual assistant help my not-for-profit?

This is a great question!

When you are trying to successfully grow your organization you want to bring the right people on board but often do not have the budget, or space to bring someone on board as an employee. A virtual assistant is a great option here because they are already fully trained and have their own dedicated space, and you only pay them for the work they do for you, which ultimately saves you both time and money.

Some tasks that a virtual assistant can help you with include:

  • Connecting with your donors

  • Help with fundraising and grant writing

  • Assisting with event planning and organization

  • Volunteer onboarding and organization

  • Assist with your day-to-day administrative tasks like office management, document creation and storage, bookkeeping, research, data entry, calendar management, and so much more!

Also, hiring a virtual assistant doesn't mean you have to delegate everything to them all at once. You can start with a short-term arrangement or just a few tasks and grow together as you feel more comfortable.

If you would like more information about how I might be able to help your organization out just let me know. I am always happy to meet new people and a discovery call is always free!
